10 ways to promote my blog

This blog is dedicated to my university subject "ICT for Managers"

In this blog i shall post about 10 ways to make my blog much well known to the world wide web.

The first and easiest way to promote my blog is to post my blog link in my facebook wall.
A simple sentence like "I finally decide to be active on my blog again! Please support me at [link]" would draw the attention of my friends.

Depending on the topics that i am going to blog about, usually i'm more enthusiastic about cars, and i have dozens of people and organizations following my tweets about cars updates on twitter. If i decided to expand my updates about car from tweets to blogs, i can also tweet about my blog web link "Folks! For more detailed story (and photos) please visit my blog at [link]"

I'm a frequent poster in a few automotive forums like the volksriders.org, mybenz.org, bmwclubmalaysia.com, lowyat.net etc, just adding my blog link at my signature would catch people's attention. Moreover if i make flashy symbols and motion font then much easier to attract other forummers.

Besides posting blog link at various places, one more way to increase the chance of others to search my blog is by using "labels" or "tags" in my blog posts. these labels will lead to search results in google when someone searched for similar words, like porsche, volkswagen, speed etc.

famous automotive bloggers like Paultan.org, license2speed.blogspot.com etc has their cult or followers from all over the world. Well, i'm one of them, hence whenever there's new posts by them, i would read and reply if necessary, moving forward just by adding my blog link in my replies then i will be able to direct visitors from their blogs to my own blog.

Since my blog is quite distinct, i can add my blog in Blogger's listing at the automotive category. By doing that, blogger will be able to randomly suggest my blog to visitors from other corner of the world when they search for similar or same category blogs.

From time to time i obtain some interesting items for my car, once in a while i feel like giving them out due to getting other accessories. With the help of facebook, twitter and forums i can make a accessories giveaway campaign and people who're interested in getting these accessories would need to visit my blog to participate in the giveaway.

Another easy way to let all my facebook and twitter friends know about my new blog post, join www.networkedblogs.com and it will just help you update in the social medias. What's more, you can join your friends or invite them to networked blogs and they will also get notified through networkedblogs when u posted new blogs. No fuss at all!

Request another blogger to be blog-friends and share each other's link together!
That's what i do on my other photography related blog (undisclosed). To be able to do that, you must be "friend-friend" or have the "quality" to do so, for my case both of us share the same passion on certain photography style and so we agreed to put up each other's blog link at our own blog so readers on our blog can be recommended and directed to their link too.

Last but not least, shoot, post, share and tag alot of photos on your blog! For the sake of this blog, which is for automotive, i shall shoot alot of photos about cars wherever and whichever automotive events i go, post some snippets at famous image hosting sites like flickr, photobucket, picasa etc and put the blog link at every photo uploaded. Visitors from these hosting sites will be directed to my blog, and not forgetting google image search for similar photos also will be directed to my blog.

So, the above are the 10 ways to promote my blog and i believe the list is still long if we really dig into this topic. But for now i guess these ways are good enough for a non-profit blogger like me.

Weird, Creepy, shocking dream

I had a weird dream today.
It seems like a real long dream, but as i wake, i can only remember this few parts.
Somehow i am living in an apartment, and still with my usual housemates, but i received a call saying my old friend Christine is also moving into the same apartment. So the next day i visited her unit (well i didn't ask the unit but i was told it's just above my floor.) Strange that this apartment, all unit got no doors, u can just go in. So i went in to one house, and did not see Christine but instead i saw my primary school friend...Ying Qin and Jamie. They told me they're there for sometime already.

Suddenly the settings changed to night, and i am with those friends, and the regular gang of mine (Wern, Tian, EJ, Siowpei, JingWei, Hee, YS) at THAILAND. We were playing around in an open air ground, and out of a sudden, a few nice motorbike pass by. I was excited as i love those superbike. Everyone around the area started to cheer for the bike. Those bike starting to do stunts, passing by the top of cars, then out of a sudden, Jing wei went out beside a car to cheer for a bike, and i started to be anxious, and start to yell at him, be careful! i said, he did not hear me, the superbikes were too loud. And suddenly, a super bike jump pass the car beside him, and the front wheel knock directly into his head. I can't see if his head is ok, but he's still conscious, but i could see blood all round the tyre. Everyone was worried and panic, i panicked for a while, and pick up my phone, wanted to call 911, but realised that we're at Thailand, they couldn't understand me, and i don't know where this place is, i tried to run and find someone help me call, then i was wake.

A weird dream huh! Not yet. As i wake, i realised it is just a dream, so i close my eyes wanted to sleep again. But as soon as i close my eyes, i saw a lady staring at me. The lady is so fierce, she had this big round eyes, that it actually cause me shivering. Is there any omen behind this dream?I hope not. And i hope i wont see those tragedy...
